KAUKAUNA — The Riverview Middle School wrestling team repeated as champions last Saturday in their conference tournament.

The conference consists of 24 teams from the Northeast Wisconsin area.

Trenton VanSchyndel and Jack Thorp were first-place winners, along with two second place finishes by Andy Dipiaza and Laythen Hurts.

The team also had nine other place winners.

Kaukauna scored 297.5 for first place. Luxemburg Casco at 256 was second and Hortonvilles third at 219.

The middle school championship comes on the heals of the high school team’s third state title in a row.

The high school team now has won a total of seven state championships, including four straight from 2014-17 before the current run. The Galloping Ghosts have also finished runner-up four times, including 2000, 2003, 2008 and 2013.
