MENESHA — A 4-year-old suffered scrapes and contusions to their head and face after being run over by an e-bike traveling through a playground Friday in Menasha.
According to a news release, Menasha police were called about 7:30 p.m. July 24 to Jefferson Park for a 4-year-old struck by an e-bike.
Officers determined the child was on the playground area of the park and was struck and run over by the e-bike traveling through the playground area.
The child was transported to the hospital by their parents for further evaluation.
In a statement, police are reminding everyone to practice the utmost safety while operating e-bike’s.
“Be cautious of pedestrians, vehicles, and travel at a safe speed,” police said.
