OSHKOSH — It was a big day for Kaukauna Ghosts’ wrestling Saturday, with a program-record nine athletes qualifying for the WIAA Division 1 individual wrestling tournament next week in Madison.

Kaukauna will be lead by senior Greyson Clark, a Purdue commit, who will be wrestling for his fourth state title in four years as a Ghost.

On Tuesday, the Ghosts locked up another invitation the the team state wrestling tournament as they look toward a third-in-a-row title.

Here’s how the Ghosts’ qualifiers finished Saturday at the Oshkosh North sectional.

106: 2nd Place Wrestleback, Nick Jenkins (Kaukauna) 29-15, So. over Cameron Perkovich (Kimberly) 37-7, Sr. (UTB 4-4)

126: 1st Place Match, Lucas Peters (Kaukauna) 41-4, Jr. over Jacob Herm (Neenah) 37-6, So. (Fall 3:32)

132: 1st Place Match, Bryan Winans (Kaukauna) 42-3, Sr. over Ryland Schneider (Oshkosh West) 35-15, So. (Fall 1:47)

138: 1st Place Match, Greyson Clark (Kaukauna) 44-0, Sr. over Henry Niebauer (Hortonville) 37-8, Jr. (TF-1.5 4:00 (19-3))

145: 1st Place Match, Connor Smith (Kaukauna) 31-6, Sr. over Tanner Hart (Kimberly) 34-10, Jr. (Dec 7-0)

160: 1st Place Match, Liam Crook (Kaukauna) 41-4, Fr. over Noah Deibert (Hartford Union) 44-8, Sr. (TF-1.5 3:32 (15-0))

220: 2nd Place Wrestleback, Jordan Loose (Kaukauna) 30-14, Sr. over Ricardo Martinez (Menasha) 19-10, Sr. (Dec 5-1)

The WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament is Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 23-25, 2023 at Kohl Center, UW-Madison.

The 2023 State Team Tournament is Friday and Saturday, March 3-4, 2023 at UW Field House, Madison.
