UPDATE 3/22/23
This morning around 5 a.m., Jason Moore and Chason Moore were in St. Petersburg, FL. Jason Moore approach and officer in St. Petersburg, FL looking for directions to his daughter’s house. The St. Petersburg Officer ran the vehicle and Chason’s name through NCIC and saw New London PD was looking for them. St. Petersburg Police took custody of Chason and Chason was reunited with his adult sister who resides in St. Petersburg, FL.
Chason is safe and unharmed and will be returning to WI soon with his mother.
At this time there has been no arrest in this case. The New London Police Department will continue to work with the Waupaca County DA’s Office on this case.

NEW LONDON — Police are seeking tips from the public after a father and his son left for Appleton Monday and never returned home.
Police say Chason Moore, 12, and his father, Jason Moore did not return home from going to Appleton to get an oil change.
Police say they left New London around 7:30 a.m. Monday.
Police were contacted about 7:30 p.m. Monday evening.
