KAUKAUNA — Kaukauna Area High School senior Kally Meredith will continue her education and softball career in college at Florida International University in Miami.

She announced her verbal commitment to the Division 1 school last December, and signed her National Letter of Intent Monday during a signing ceremony at Kaukauna High School.

Meredith helped lead the Ghosts to the WIAA Division 1 state softball championship in 2021, and a second this past June.

“None of this would have been possible without the many coaches who have guided me throughout the years, the teammates who have become lifelong friends, and my family who has been my biggest support system,” Meredith said at the time she announced her commitment to FIU. “I’d like to give one last shout out to my Dad, who continues to push me harder than anyone, but has had my back through it all.”

The Ghosts will begin their quest for a third-in-a-row softball title this spring.
