KAUKAUNA — The Kaukauna Area School Districr is celebrating the completion of two major construction projects made possible through the 2024 referendum approved by a majority of voters in the Kaukauna Area School District community.
There will be a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony, open house and refreshments at each location:
Park Community Charter School
Monday, September 21 | 6 p.m.
Victor Haen Elementary School
Tuesday, September 29 | 6 p.m.
“We’re excited to open the doors, welcome our community into these new spaces, and celebrate what your support helped make possible for our students,” the school district said in its announcement.
The $198 million referendum, approved by voters in November 2024, has allowed the district to:
- Build a new, innovative middle school to replace River View, which the district says no longer adequately meets the needs of students.
- Expand access to 4K and 5K programs at Victor Haen Elementary School, providing more opportunities for the youngest learners.
- Renovate key areas at Park Community Charter School, including the main office and library, to better serve students and staff.
- Enhance safety and security across all district schools and address high-priority maintenance needs.
