Kaukauna High School ice fishing team

FREMONT — The Kaukauna High School fishing team took fourth place for total pike last weekend in the Partridge Lake Tournament hosted by Weyauwega-Fremont High School Fishing Team.

Teams battled a cold day on the lake with gusty winds but were still able to put some great fish on top of the ice in this catch-and-release tournament.

Braeden Reader landed the first-place bass, Mikey Herres took second for bluegill.

The 2022 WIFAm state high school ice fishing championship will be Feb. 19, 2022 on Castle Rock Lake and Lake Petenwell in Wisconsin Rapids.
