GRAND CHUTE — Family members of the Florida teen killed Monday when a passenger van crashed into a business in Grand Chute have launched a GoFundMe to return the young man’s body home to his father.
The 18-year-old was identified in the post as Cayden, whose single father, Tom Dileo, lives in Florida.
Donations will go to pay for transporting Cayden from Wisconsin, funeral arrangements, burial expenses and other unexpected costs.
According to a news release from the Grand Chute Police Department, police and fire emergency responders were called out at 3:52 p.m. Monday to a report of a vehicle striking a building in the 2900 block of W. College Ave. in Grand Chute, where multiple injuries were reported.
Investigators say a passenger van drove into the building while attempting to park, striking several people inside.
Cayden, 18, from Parrish, Florida, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where they were pronounced deceased.
Two additional people were also transported by ambulance to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The Grand Chute Police Department was assisted on scene by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office, Gold Cross Ambulance, and the Fox Cities Victim Crisis Response Team.
