MADISON — Two Kaukauna Ghosts claimed state wrestling titles Saturday in Madison.
Greyson Clark has reached a milestone few other wrestlers in the state have achieved: He’s never lost a state title match in his high school career.
At 138, Clark defeated Riese Thornberry of Germantown for the 138 title.
Lucas Peters of Kaukauna defeated Jacob Herm of Neenah for the 126 title.
Bryan Winans of Kaukauna, who also wrestled in a championship match, finished second at 132.
Clark, a Purdue commit, won the championship at the 138-pound weight class last season after winning at 126 in 2021 and at 106 as a freshman in 2020.
Kaukauna sent a program record-nine wrestlers to the individual tournament, with Clark, Winans and Peters advancing to the title round.
Other state qualifiers for Kaukauna include:
- 106: Nick Jenkins (Kaukauna)
- 145: Connor Smith (Kaukauna)
- 160: Liam Crook (Kaukauna)
- 170: Judah Hammen (Kaukauna)
- 182: Drew Wendzicki (Kaukauna)
- 220: Jordan Loose (Kaukauna)
On Tuesday, the Ghosts locked up another invitation to the team state wrestling tournament as they look toward a third-in-a-row title next week in Madison.
