KAUKAUNA — According to our quick poll in the Kaukauna Community News Group, most people are staying home New Year’s Eve.

That’s probably not a surprise. Recent polls show that about 70 percent of Americans typically stay home for the holiday.

So what does everyone do?

Here in northeast Wisconsin, that likely means watching the Packers take on the Vikings, followed by watching TV to see the ball drop over Times Square in New York City.

The hardiest will then wait it out until midnight here in the Central Standard time zone to ring in the New Year.

If you plan on watching some TV, here’s the schedule for the broadcast channels on New Year’s Eve.

NBC: Pregame for the Packers’ game begins at 5 p.m. with the NBC26 pregame show. Kickoff for the game is at 7:15 p.m.

ABC: The AKC National Dog Championship begins at 1 p.m. Countdown to 2024 begins at 6 p.m. with Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve with Ryan Seacrest at 7 p.m. The ball drops over Times Square at 11 p.m. our time.

CBS: New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash begins about 6:30 p.m. following the Chiefs vs. Bengals NFL game.

FOX: Fox’s 3 p.m. football game features the Steelers and the Seahawks, but they won’t have any New Year’s Eve programming after the game ends.

LIVESTREAM: You can watch the Times Square livestream HERE.
