UPDATE: The Green Bay Police Department has confirmed that a 5-year-old girl, who was the victim of a shooting at a residence on the 1600 block of Amy Street, has died.

GREEN BAY — The Green Bay Police Department is investigating the shooting Monday of a 5-year-old girl at a home on the city’s east side.

Officers were were sent to a weapons call about 4:50 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2022 for a report of a gunshot wound victim in need of medical attention, according to a news release from the Green Bay Police Department.

The girl who was shot was taken to a local hospital, but there is no update on the child’s condition as of 9 p.m. Monday.

The person of interest whom Green Bay Police would like to speak with is Jordan J. Leavy-Carter, 35 years old, of Green Bay.

Leavy-Carter is believed to be driving a dark green Mercury Milan sedan that has front-end damage and a license plate reading AHT-7886.

Police do not believe that there is any ongoing threat to the community.
