KAUKAUNA — The mother of a 2-year-old daughter is now a homeowner after a ribbon cutting Tuesday for her new Fox Cities Habitat for Humanity home in Kaukauna.
The homeowner, Heather, who has a 2-year-old daughter, Gianna, purchased her home through Fox Cities Habitat’s 0% interest mortgage model.
As a single mom, Heather worked tirelessly to build a brighter future for her daughter while balancing work, childcare, long daily commutes and the challenges of living in an aging rental with rising rent and ongoing repair needs, according to a Habitat social media post.
Her determination to own a home of her own never wavered, however, and now she can finally provide Gianna with the safe, stable place she always dreamed of.
Habitat thanked Good Faith Funding, LLC and Corbett Construction & Realty for making this home possible through their generous sponsorship.
Habitat also thanked the Senior Crew and the many volunteers who poured their time, talent and heart into this home. Together, they contributed 2,209 volunteer hours to help make Heather and Gianna’s dream of homeownership a reality.
