APPLETON — Police say a woman was not injured after shots were fired at here vehicle while she was driving on I-41 Friday morning. A suspect has been arrested.

According to a news release, officers from the Grand Chute Police Department responded about 7:15 a.m. Friday after a woman called to say she had been shot at in the area of I-41 northbound at W. Northland Ave.

The caller told police her vehicle was shot at several times while she was traveling north on the interstate. She said she was not injured and gave a description of the shooter’s vehicle to responding officers.

Officers found the suspected shooter’s vehicle a short time later and said they found evidence connecting a suspect and suspect vehicle to the shooting incident.

The 33-year-old man was taken into custody and booked into the Outagamie County Jail. He faces charges relating to the incident, including Recklessly Endangering Safety and Criminal Damage to Property.

The Grand Chute Police Department was assisted in this investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office, Appleton Police Department, and the Fox Valley Victim Crisis Response Team.
