KAUKAUNA — The new art and gem shop in Kaukauna, Van Gogh’s Left Ear, is a dream realized for owner Diane Lee and the family members who help run it.
The shop, located at 370 E. Ann St. in the plaza next to the Stoneridge Piggly Wiggly, opened March 21, 2022.
Lee, who lives in Brillion, has recieved many awards for her artwork and her dream has always been to open her own art-inspired store. The shop also has jewelry, home-made art, home-decor and plans to host paint ‘n’ sip classes, along with other activities.
But you don’t necessarily have to step into the store to marvel, and perhaps own, some of these wonderful treasures, says Lee’s sister Kaylee Saulnier, who runs the Facebook live sales each week.
We’re definately not the first, but there is a huge market right now with many online sales, Saulnier said.
The Facebook live crystal, specimen and gem show can be viewed Thursdays at 6 p.m. on the store’s Facebook page (HERE)
“As for the crystals, minerals and specimens, that is all me. I have loved collecting rocks,” said Saulnier, a retired special education teacher who runs the Facebook lives from her home in Manitowoc.
During the live shows, Saulnier says she shows many amazing pieces … rough, polished, jewelry, mineral specimens and more. There also will be nightly prize giveaways.
Niece Kristen Eckert also is involved in running the store and creating her style of art pieces.
