APPLETON — It turns out that we don’t have to go too far to find one of the best doughnuts in the state.
In post last month by the state ranking website “Best things in Wisconsin,” Manderfield’s Home Bakery in Appleton and Hill Top Bakery in Kaukauna made the list of the “The 8 Best Doughnut Shops in Wisconsin!”
“Who hasn’t heard of Manderfield’s famous bakery?” read the description on the website. “More importantly, their doughnuts. With three area locations in the Fox Valley, their inventory is always stocked up. Raised doughnuts, cake doughnuts, and doughnuts holes—the gang’s all here!”
Not far away in Kaukauna, local favorite Hill Top Bakery also made the list.
“For the past 80 years Hill Top Bakery has been serving up doughnuts and bakery items from scratch,” is how the site described Hill Top. “This spot has long been a family-favorite snacking place in Kaukauna. With no preservatives, fresh ingredients, and good old fashioned recipes—you’ll love the doughnuts at Hill Top.”
Hill Top shared the post Friday on its own Facebook page.
