KAUKAUNA — Kaukauna High School on Tuesday announced that David Galarno will be the head coach for the newly formed girls wrestling team.
Galarno wrestled at New Holstein High School where he was a two time Conference Champion, two time Regional Champion, two time Sectional Champion and two time Division 2 third-place finisher at the WIAA State Wrestling Tournament in 2010 and 2011.
Galatno then went on to wrestle at Lakeland College where he was a Conference Campion and named the Lakeland Wrestling Rookie of the year.
Galarno has coached with the Kimberly Youth Wrestling Club and the JR Gerrits Middle School team since 2022.
“I began wrestling at the age of 5 and it has been a passion of mine ever since. I have been involved in coaching wrestling for just over 10 years and I was beyond excited when I saw the approval of the Kaukauna Girls Wrestling program. I truly enjoy reaching athletes of all levels and helping them reach their maximum potential,” Galarno said.
