KAUKAUNA — The city attorney and a District 1 City Council seat will be contested in the city of Kaukauna spring election.

(Kaukauna Area School District Board of Education race is HERE.)

The general election is set for April 2, 2024 along with the presidential primary and other races. The deadline for returning papers to appear on the ballot was Tuesday.

  • Incumbent City Attorney Kevin Davidson is being challenged by Tim Greenwood.
  • District 1 Alder Jennie Eggleston is facing a challenge from Will Terry.

Notes:

The city attorney’s race is on the ballot after voters rejected a referendum in 2022 that would have changed the position from elected to appointed.

John Proffitt is running unopposed for municipal judge following the resignation last year of Judge Carley Windorff who had been embroiled in an ethics controversy.

Mayor Tony Penterman, running for a fourth term, is unnopposed, as are alders John Moore, Mary Jo Kilgas and Mike Coenen.
