KAUKAUNA — News Publishing Company, which owns the Times-Villager and 14 other Weekly community weekly newspapers throughout the state, has announced a change in ownership.

Dan and Mark Witte, owners of Black Earth based News Publishing Company, announced in Wednesday’s Times Villager that they would be retiring.

They’ve sold the company to longtime Chief Financial Officer Tom Finger.

All employees will be retained and continue in their current roles, according to the article.

“We are both excited and comforted to know the publications we care so deeply about will be in the hands of a new owner who has vast experience overseeing the newspapers that chronicle the communities we call home. We know we will flourish under Tom’s leadership,” longtime Times-Villager Editor Brian Roebke was quoted as saying.

The Kaukauna Times began Sept. 15, 1880 at 141 Wisconsin Ave. on Kaukauna’s north side.
