KAUKAUNA — Visitors to Grignon Park, which has become increasingly busy in recent years, will soon have additional parking as well as new wooded areas.
The City of Kaukauna recently closed on 4.75 acres of vacant woodland adjacent to Grignon Park.
The plan is to utilize part of this acreage to build another parking lot to serve Grignon Park.
About two acres will remain wooded.
This area is heavily utilized for events and often experiences parking issues, according to a news release from the city.
Having this extra parking will help to mitigate those issues and provide better traffic circulation in the area.
The city estimates an additional 80+ parking stalls and still have a couple acres of forest left on the lots.
The construction date us yet to be determined.
