MADISON — For the fourth time in five years, the Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts softball team will play for a state title.

#2 Kaukauna defeated #3 Hamilton 2-0 Thursday in the semifinal at Goodman Diamond on the UW-Madison campus.

Kaukauna scored twice in the first on two Hamilton errors, but that was enough to cruise to the shutout victory.

The Ghosts will face either #1 Kenosha Bradford (28-1) or #4 D.C. Everest (26-2) Saturday at 6:30 p.m. Bradford and D.C. Everest play their semifinal game Friday.

Kaukauna defeated 7-seed Sun Prairie East 9-1 Wednesday morning to get into the semifinal.

This is Kaukauna’s seventh trip to state overall and for the fifth year in a row. They captured the gold trophy five times, including 2010, 201720212022 and 2023.
