KAUKAUNA — The Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts softball team heads into the WIAA playoffs next week as a No. 2 seed in Division 1.
Green Bay Preble is the No. 1 seed in the bracket released Thursday. Both teams will enter the post-season with an undefeated record.
Kaukauna opens the tournament May 29 at home, hosting the winner of Tuesday’s Pulaski-Bay Port game.
The Ghosts’ last lost was to Milton in last year’s state semifinal game. The team was on a 108-game winning streak until that loss.
Kaukauna is hoping to return to the state tournament for the seventh time overall and for the fifth year in a row. They captured the gold trophy five times, including 2010, 2017, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
