GREEN BAY — The two candidates for the 8th Congressional District will meet in a debate Friday, Sept. 27 hosted by WBAY TV.
Kaukauna native Dr. Kristin Lyerly, a Democrat is a gynecologist and obstetrician. Republican Tony Wied is the former owner of six Dino Stop gas stations and convenience stores and was endorsed by presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Thre one-hour debate will be broadcast live on-air and online from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The debate will be held with an audience at the Mauthe Center on the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
The debate will be moderated by longtime Action 2 News anchor Cami Rapson.
Action 2 News political reporter Jason Zimmerman and Green Bay Press-Gazette community and politics reporter Jesse Lin will ask questions and will vet questions from students from UWGB and St. Norbert College to ask during the debate.
