STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Association announces the addition of the WIAA State Television Network to air the release of the 2024 State Individual Wrestling Tournament brackets during a one-hour live program scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 18 at noon.
The program will be aired live on Network stations WKOW 27.2, WAOW 9.2, WQOW 18.2 and WXOW 19.2. In addition, the show will be streamed on the Network stations’ websites as well as on WIAA.TV as previously announced.
Announcer Joe Miller will serve as the host of the show, which will feature the announcement and first-round match-ups for 14 weight classes in three boys divisions and 12 weight classes for the one girls division of the State Individual Wrestling Tournament. Miller will be joined by analyst Teague Fenwick.
There are 560 boy qualifiers and 192 girl qualifiers entering the State Individual Wrestling Tournament scheduled for Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 22-24 at the Kohl Center in Madison. It will be the 81st annual boys tournament and the third year of the girls tournament. The finals of the Individual Wrestling Tournament will be aired live on the WIAA State Television Network channels Saturday with programming to begin at 5 p.m. All matches leading up to the finals will be streamed live on the State Television Network websites
Complete brackets with the first-round regional pairings are scheduled to be available on the WIAA website following the live announcement of the brackets.
