KIMBERLY — Seven Kaukauna Ghosts wrestlers qualified for the individual state wrestling meeting after qualifying Saturday at the Kimberly sectional.

The WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament is Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 22-24, 2024 at Kohl Center, UW-Madison

On Tuesday, the Ghosts locked up another invitation the the team state wrestling tournament as they look toward a fourth-in-a-row title.

Here’s how the Ghosts’ qualifiers finished Saturday, with first and second place advancing to state.

106 1st Place Match

  • Andy DiPiazza (Kaukauna) 41-5, Fr. over Braeden Hamill (Bay Port) 32-3, Fr. (Dec 8-1)

132 1st Place Match

  • Lucas Peters (Kaukauna) 44-3, Sr. over Nolan Skebba (Hortonville) 33-6, Jr. (MD 11-3)

150 2nd Place Wrestleback

  • Kolin DeGroot (Kaukauna) 33-12, So. over Cole Bartlein (Bay Port) 32-13, Fr. (NC)

157 1st Place Match

  • Peyton Lee (Kaukauna) 40-7, Jr. over Tanner Hart (Kimberly) 35-9, Sr. (Dec 11-5)

165 1st Place Match

  • Liam Crook (Kaukauna) 35-0, So. over Andy Servais (Pulaski) 30-11, Jr. (TF-1.5 3:43 (18-1))

175 2nd Place Wrestleback

  • Brady Sprangers (Kaukauna) 38-8, So. over Ethan Farley (Bay Port) 24-12, Jr. (NC)

285 2nd Place Wrestleback

  • Nehemiah Lendobeja (Kaukauna) 38-10, So. over Nate Cleveland (Neenah) 29-17, Sr. (TB-1 6-3)

Held a week after the individual tournament, the 2024 State Team Tournament will be 
Friday and Saturday, March 1-2, 2024 at the
UW Field House, Madison.
