In recent news releases, each candidate briefly explaned why they are running for council and what they hope to accomplish.

JENNIE EGGLESTON

“Kaukauna is at the heart of who I am. I love this community and recognize the wonderful and unique amenities it has to offer.

“As a homeowner and parent, I want to help ensure Kaukauna retains its family-friendly feel while also attracting and embracing new families and businesses.

“I hope to continue to be a voice for fiscal responsibility as we meet the challenges that accompany our city’s growth.

“I was first appointed in February 2021 to fill an open seat and was elected to a full term in 2022.”

WILL TERRY

“I am announcing my candidacy for Kaukauna’s First Aldermanic seat. It’s exciting to see the support I have gotten over the past few weeks, it’s clear folks want a new perspective on Kaukauna’s’ common council.

“As a Kaukauna native, I grew a deep pride and love for Kaukauna and the Fox Valley. It was always a simple choice of moving back to the area after college; there is no better place, I believe, to start a family, a business or to retire.

“I believe Kaukauna deserves leaders who are transparent, communicative and come with fresh ideas to address long-standing problems. I would like to address the quality of water, enhance the way we manage our city growth, and increase the walkability and commercial atmosphere.

“I look forward to continuing to meet new folks as we get closer to April 2 and would love to hear from anyone with concerns, issues, or questions.”

Other races

In the only other contested race on the Kaukauna ballot, Incumbent City Attorney Kevin Davidson is being challenged by Tim Greenwood.
