KAUKAUNA — Kaukauna’s Carson Van Dinter announced he would sign his National Letter of Intent Wednesday to play football and continue his studies at Iowa State University.
Mitch Verstegen also signed his Letter of Intent to attend Indiana.
Three other players announced recently that they will play football in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Sawyer Steineke, an all-conference fullback for the Fox Valley Association co-champion Ghosts announced he has committed to the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Standout receiver Danny Poor II announced his commitment to the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Van Dinter’s teammate in the secondary, John Neumann, announced earlier this month he would attend and play football at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Wednesday is the first day of the early signing period for NCAA Division 1 football.
Van Dinter and Verstegen were expected to sign at an official ceremony at 6 p.m. at Kaukauna High School.
Van Dinter, a 2023 Associated Press all-state defensive back, announced his commitment to the Cyclones in June shortly after receiving an offer.
Van Dinter, Steineke, Poor II and Neumann were part of a talented class that led Kaukauna to a conference co-championship with Kimberly.
