MARINETTE — The Appleton Doubledays 2023 AAA Legion baseball team opens state tournament play Tuesday at 2 p.m. vs. Janesville in Marinette.

Other opening round games Tuesday are:
- Manitowoc vs. Eau Claire at 11 a.m.
- Kaukauna vs. Plover at 5 p.m.
- Sheboygan vs. Marinette at 8 p.m.
Appleton advanced to the state tournament with a 4-3 win Friday over Oshkosh.
The state tournament runs July 25-29, 2023 in Marinette.
