Nelson Family Hertiage Crossing from Kaukauna to Little Chute. Dan Plutchak/Kaukauna Community News

KAUKAUNA — You are invited to join Kaukauna Mayor Tony Penterman on May 1, 2023 at noon as he helps to kick off the 2023 50 on the Fox challenge.

Sponsored by the Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce, the 50 on the FOX challenge rewards participants for completing 50 miles — either walking, running or biking — using the trails in and around the Fox River and Heart of the Valley.

The walk starts in the parking lot on the corner of 3rd Street & Bicentennial Court and will go down the rail trail and over the Nelson Family Heritage Crossing to the Little Chute side and back.

Roundtrip is 2 miles, so it is a great way to start collecting miles for your 50 on the Fox.

There is no cost to participate, just arrive in the parking lot by noon and join the walk.
