KAUKAUNA — A complete closure of the Island Street Bridge over the tailrace (located behind Kaukauna Utilities office) will begin on Monday, Aug. 15, 2022.
The closure will last approximately three months, which could cause problems for some drivers heading to River View Middle School when the schoolyear begins.
Additional correspondence is expected next week from the City and Kaukauna Area School District regarding the school zone traffic plan for River View Middle School.
Work will require Island Street to be closed from Dodge Street through the Maple Street Intersection.
Sheet Piling Services LLC will be replacing the Island Street Bridge over the tailrace. A full closure is anticipated to begin Monday, August 15 at 6:00 am and remain in place until mid-November.
