MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner has identified the Kaukauna man who they say was killed in Milwaukee and whose body was later found in a car in Dane County.

Adam McCormick, 34, was killed near 21st Street and Fairmount Avenue in Milwaukee, according to the medical examiner’s report.

McCormick was killed just before 2:30 a.m. Monday inside a building near the intersection, according to WISN-TV.

His body was later found concealed in a car in Cambridge in Dane County Monday night, according to multiple media reports.

That’s when the Dane County sheriff’s office says a 28-year-old woman was arrested Monday shortly before the body was discovered, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.

Deputies said callers alleged a woman was asking people for money and a ride.

The woman, who is from Hartland and was driving the car McCormick was found in, was arrested after displaying a gun and ignoring commands from law enforcement, according to the State Journal.

The State Journal reports that police tried to subdue her with a Taser, which was ineffective.

The suspect is tentatively charged with recklessly endangering safety, resisting arrest while armed, disorderly conduct while armed and carrying a concealed weapon.
