DUNDAS — The Outagamie County Tavern Leagues is warning area bars to be on the lookout for fake bills.

In a social media post, the Tavern League shared photos of a fake $100 reportedly passed at Rocky & Tara’s Nut Haus during a festival over the weekend.

“Keep an eye out for these fake bills coming through your establishments and in this case, a larger festival type event where they are too busy to inspect every bill closely,” read the post. “I have personally seen some of these fake bills and they are spot on realistic by sight, but the paper has a smother texture to them by feel. But with a few crinkles, folds, and bends in them, it can easily alter the texture to be a little more authentic.”
