NEENAH — Neenah-Menasha Fire-Rescue crews were out Saturday morning on Lake Winnebago for a report of a vehicle that had gone through the ice.

Rescuers were able to reach the driver, who was pulled to safety, according to a Facebook post.

The annual sturgeon spearing season began at 7 a.m. Saturday, drawing hundreds of vehicles onto the ice.

Despite a lengthy cold snap, there are still dangerous spots on the ice.

Neenah-Menasha Fire-Rescue is reminding everyone to use extreme caution while venturing out.
