Heavy snow is expected to move into northeast Wisconsin later Saturday and continue into Sunday morning.
Predicted snow totals:
Kaukauna: 6-8 inches
Ashwaubenon: 8-12 inches
Sister Bay: 12-18 inches
The heavier precipitation is expected to arrive late this afternoon or evening and then continue into Sunday morning.
The snow may be heavy at times across northern Wisconsin while a wintry mix is expected south of Highway 29, resulting in lower snowfall totals. Gusty east to northeast winds will create areas of blowing and drifting snow.
The combination of a wintry mix, snow and heavy snow along with areas of blowing and drifting snow will result in difficult travel across the northern half of Wisconsin tonight into Sunday morning.
The difficult travel conditions may linger into Sunday afternoon across northeast Wisconsin as winds turn to the north. If you must travel this weekend, allow extra time to reach your destination and carry a winter survival kit.
