MADISON — Musgie Iatola Martha-ET, a Jersey cow is owned by MilkSource Genetics of Kaukauna, was named Supreme Champion at the 50th Anniversary of World Dairy Expo.

Winning awards were presented at the expo Oct. 9, 2016 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.

Martha was the first place winner in the 5-year-old cow class and Senior and Grand Champion Female in the International Jersey Show.

She is no stranger to the colored shavings. She was the winning 4-year-old cow in 2015, before moving on to be named Grand Champion of the International Jersey Show and Reserve Supreme Champion of World Dairy Expo.

As Supreme Champion, Martha received the Gregory Blaska Memorial Trophy, a $2,000 cash award sponsored by BouMatic, a royal blanket sponsored by Agpro, Inc., and a director’s chair sponsored by International Protein Sires.

Reserve Supreme Champion was earned by Sheeknoll Durham Arrow. Arrow was exhibited by Sheeknoll Farms of Rochester, Minn.

She was named first place Aged Cow, Six-Year-Old & Older, and Top Bred and Owned, along with Senior and Grand Champion Female during the International Holstein Show at World Dairy Expo.

As the 2016 Reserve Supreme Champion, Arrow received a $1,500 cash award sponsored by Koffman Industries, Inc., a royal blanket sponsored by E-ZEE Milking Equipment, LLC, and a director’s chair sponsored by Joe and Patti Schluter.

Recognized as the meeting place for the global dairy industry, World Dairy Expo attracts more than 70,000 attendees from over 90 countries to Madison, Wis. each year.
