LA CROSSE — Kaukauna’s Dance Team is making final preparations this week for a trip to the 2022 Varsity State Dance Championships in La Crosse.

Kaukauna’s Dance team qualified in two events in the competition that takes place Feb. 5, 2022 at the La Crosse Center.

The team will perform in Division 1 Kick and Division 2 Pom. The Kick Team is expected to perform about 4:50 p.m. Saturday and the Pom Team about 8:10 p.m.

The Wisconsin Association of Cheer and Pom Coaches, which organizes the state competion, consists of coaches from the state of Wisconsin who share a common goal of promoting and improving their leadership role in the sports of cheer and dance, according to the group’s website.

The WIAA and its member schools have recognized and endorsed the Wisconsin Association of Cheer and Pom Coaches as the organization aligned with school-based programs in the state since 2003.
