KAUKAUNA — As the 3-year-old daughter of a Kaukauna firefighter battles a rare brain tumor, family and friends are rallying around the family with several fundraising efforts.

Quinn Romenesko, daughter of Keith Romenesko, a paid-on-call firefighter with the department, and his wife Amie, learned on Christmas Eve that their daughter had a rare brain tumor, according to a GoFundMe page set up to help with medical and related expenses.

Because of the rarity of Quinn’s case, she had surgery at a hospital out of the state, adding another unexpected financial burden on the family.

You can follow updates on Quinn’s condition on the GoFundMe page HERE: https://www.gofundme.com/f/sg7ade-quinn-strong.

One of the ways that people can help is through an upcoming benefit for Quinn March 20, 2022, according to a post on the Kaukauna Community News Facebook group.

“The Romenesko’s are very active and supportive members of our community! Now is the time to support them! No one fights this battle alone!” read the post.

In an update Jan. 25 from Amie, she writes, “It’s clear to me there is a lot of power in prayer. We are so blessed to have everyones prayers!”

“Quinn is out of surgery and recovering. Her surgery went great,” Aimee wrote. “This girl is a warrior. Long way to recovery in this phase. Lots of prayers that radiation is able to take care of the tumor.”

The GoFundMe page has so far raised about $5,500 of its $10,000 goal.
