HARRISON — A new indoor softball training facility is coming to the Kaukauna area and a groundbreaking was held last week.

Accurate Edge Athletics expects to open its new facility in late March in the Crossroads Business Park south of Kaukauna off Highway KK.

Jim and Gretchen Danielson said their vision is to create a space where softball athletes can develop their skills, build confidence and pursue their love of the game.

It also will be a place for kids and adults to connect, build lifelong friendships, make memories, and have fun.

The Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce and contractor Keller Inc. joined in the groundbreaking.

The Harrison Plan Commission in August approved the site plan for the roughly 16,000 sq. ft. indoor training facility.

The facility will include a full-size infield but not a full outfield and will not host games or large events, according to the village.

The groundbreaking comes the same week that the nearby Legacy Hoops cut the ribbon and opened its new facility at W4815 Fieldcrest Drive Kaukauna.

Opened by Ryan and Rebecca Giordana, the indoor basketball facility was built in honor of Ryan’s grandfather, Carl Giordana.

The two facilities add to the community’s reputation for strong youth sports programs.
