LITTLE CHUTE — A building is considered a total loss following a fire Monday morning in Little Chute.
According to a news release, the Little Chute Fire Department was called out about 10 a.m. Monday to the 1500 block of Vandenbroek Road in Little Chute for a reported fully involved structure fire with heavy smoke and flames showing.
When they arrived, firefighters found a significant amount of fire throughout the structure.
Due to the extent of the fire and unknown conditions inside the property, firefighters operated in a defensive mode, working from the exterior to bring the fire under control, authorities said.
Crews remained on scene for approximately two hours, working to extinguish the fire and conduct a thorough overhaul of the structure to locate and eliminate any remaining hot spots.
The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time and is under investigation. The structure and property are considered a total loss.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the fire.
