CHILTON — The North Pole Christmas Village, a popular Fox Valley holiday-themed attraction that began years ago in a Kaukauna man’s back yard, is closing down.

In a post on the attraction’s Facebook page, owner Troy Campbell said he had hoped to have one more season, but because of health reasons, he and his wife have decided to retire now and sell of the displays and decorations.

The orginal North Pole Christmas Village began years ago in the backyard of Campbell’s Kaukauna home, but increasing traffic and crowds in the neighborhood forced a move in 2021 to the Kaukauna Industrial Park.

After being in that location briefly, it found its current home in Chilton.

Campbell says that anyone in buying any on the displays or the property can message him on the page.

“If you like to buy a part of history , this is the time to do it. We plan on having a sale within the next few weeks. We will be putting our property up for sale,” Campbell wrote. “Again, it’s been a deep honor and privilege to have helped those thousands of people from all over the world less fortunate. We hope we made a difference in the lives of children as well as families to make there Christmas a special one.”
