KAUKAUNA — One of your neighbors could potentially be $1 million richer after a winning Powerball ticket was purchased in Kaukauna for last Wednesday’s drawing.
Wisconsin had an exceptionally high number of big winners Wednesday. Six lucky Powerball tickets—totaling a combined $8,000,000 in winnings—were sold for the April 29, 2026 draw.
Four $1,000,000 winning tickets were purchased at True North Energy on 113 S. Wisconsin in Pulaski, Pick N Save on 6462 S. 27th St. in Oak Creek, De Pere Mini Mart (Citgo) on 821 George St. in De Pere, and at a Mobil on 1005 Crooks Ave. in Kaukauna.
A $1 million winning ticket was purchased at the same Kaukauna convenience store in August of 2022.

Doubling down on the excitement, two additional winning $2,000,000 tickets were sold at Brite Spot 2 on 109 Silver St. in Hurley and at a BP on 810 W. Wisconsin St. in Sparta. Both of these tickets included the $1 Power Play feature, turning the $1,000,000 prizes into $2,000,000 wins because of the 2X multiplier.
All six tickets matched five of five numbers (3-19-35-51-67), but not the Powerball (15).
Why the big number of wins? Wisconsin Lottery officials think it may be due to how those players selected their numbers on the playslips, which are the paper forms used by some players to select their numbers, game features, and wager amounts for draw games like Powerball. The first five winning numbers, 3-19-35-51-67, are all in the same column of the Powerball playslip, and those players may have thought it was an easy or lucky way to select their numbers.
Across the United States, there were 62 $1,000,000 Powerball winners and 27 $2,000,000 winners for last night’s drawing, in addition to the winning $143 million jackpot split between winning tickets sold in Indiana and Kansas, according to powerball.com.
All Powerball players should check their tickets today. The game offers nine different prize levels. In Wisconsin, 5,637 tickets won prizes ranging from $4 to $2,000,000.
Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a two-percent Retailer Performance Winning Ticket Incentive, up to $100,000.
Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their winnings. Information on how to claim a prize is available at wilottery.com. Players can also see if their ticket is a winner by using the Lottery’s mobile app, available at the App Store or Google Play.
Powerball drawings are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Tickets must be purchased before 9:00 p.m. to be included in a drawing. Powerball tickets are $2 per play, with the option to buy the Power Play feature for an additional $1.
