KAUKAUNA — Kaukauna seventh-grader Jack Ryan placed third in his division at the Elks National Hoop Shoot last weekend in Chicago.
He made 24 of his 25 free throws, creating a three-way tie for second place. He then went on to make eight of 10 in shootouts to take third.
Ryan won the state competition in February and advanced to the national event after competing in the North Central Region 3 Hoop Shoot Semi-Final, March 14, 2026 in Iowa City, Iowa.
The 2026 Elks Hoop Shoot National Finals took place at Wintrust Arena, home of the WNBA Chicago Sky and DePaul Blue Demons.
The contest was livestreamed on the Elks National Foundation’s YouTube Channel.
