KAUKAUNA — The Grappling Ghosts wrestling team won its sectional Saturday in Neenah to advance to the team tournament in La Crosse.
The Ghosts now have an opportunity to win a sixth state title in a row.
The Ghosts have won a total of nine Division 1 state championships overall, including four straight from 2014-’17 and the current streak of five in a row.
This is Kaukauna’s 17th time at state in the last 19 seasons and for a membership-leading 24th time overall.
They had a string of five straight appearances from 1999-2003 and have surpassed that streak with their current run of 14 consecutive appearances.
The Galloping Ghosts have also finished runner-up four times, including 2000, 2003, 2008 and 2013.

The WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament is Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 26-28, 2026 at the Kohl Center in Madison.
