MADISON — The estimated jackpot for tonight’s drawing is $1.6 billion – the fourth largest in Powerball history and the fifth largest among U.S. lottery jackpots.
This marks only the second time in Powerball history that the game has produced two jackpots exceeding $1 billion in the same calendar year. The only other occurrence was in 2023, when a $1.08 billion jackpot was won on July 19, followed by a $1.765 billion jackpot on Oct. 11. Both jackpots were won in California.
This past Saturday was sensational for a few Powerball players.
A winning $150,000 Powerball ticket was sold at Kwik Trip on 1919 Humes Rd. in Janesville.

The winning play included a $1 Power Play turning a $50,000 win into a $150,000 prize thanks to the 3X multiplier.
Three $50,000 and one $150,000 Powerball winning tickets also were sold in Wisconsin for the Dec. 20, 2025, drawing. The winning $50,000 tickets were purchased at:
-Sendiks Elm Grove, LLC,13425 Watertown Plank Rd., Elm Grove
-Kwik Trip, 2538 Fish Hatchery Rd., Madison
-Citgo, W346 Luedtke Ln. Hartford
All four winning tickets matched four of five numbers (4-5-28-52-69) and the Powerball (20).
Across the United States, there were 142 tickets that won prizes of $50,000 or more. Powerball offers nine different prize levels. In Wisconsin, 86,918 tickets won prizes ranging from $4 to $150,000 from the Saturday drawing.
From the last three Powerball drawings (Saturday, Wednesday, Monday), there have been nine winning tickets of $50,000 or more sold in Wisconsin.
Tonight’s drawing will be the 46th drawing in the jackpot run – a game record for most drawings in a jackpot cycle.
