FOX VALLEY — With the holiday season officially in full swing, its time to get in the car and check out some of the fabulous Christmas light displays throughout the Valley.
Amongh the best are these three that are particularly notable, and all are taking donations for charity.
KAUKAUNA: That annual Atwater Christmas light show located at 456 Crestview Road in Kaukauna features 70,000 lights timed to music that plays in visitors’ cars who tune in to 96.5 FM.
Donations collected this year will be donated to Holy Spirit Catholic School in Appleton.
The show runs nightly through New Years Eve.
DARBOY: The lights are up and running at N9348 Mulholland Ln., an Appleton address in Darboy.
The show runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. every night through Jan. 1, and the music is broadcast on 96.5 FM.
It’s a large display with over 18,000-pixel lights, all animated to music. This year features 12 songs that rotate throughout the night.
This year, they are accepting monetary donations for two local charities. The donations will be split between The Wild and Free Animal Rescue out of Wrightstown, and the other is Sleep In Heavenly Peace, which builds beds for children so no one has to sleep on the floor.
Donations can be placed in the red mailbox by the driveway.
DARBOY: The 2023 Fox Cities Festival of Lights runs December 1-3, 8-10, 15-17, 22-25, 29-31; 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
FCFL is a family-friendly event featuring two walking holiday light trails; a new paved accessible
trail and a lighted trail through the woods.
Admission is free, however a suggested $5 donation per visitor is greatly appreciated. Donations collected at the event and from local sponsors make the event possible each year.
Parking will be on the East side of the park and at Sunrise Elementary.
