KAUKAUNA —Kaukauna Area High School senior Noah Hofmann, a standout running back for the Galloping Ghosts football team, will continue his studies in college and play football at Northern Michigan University.
“I am excited to announce I am 100% committed to Northern Michigan University,” Hofmann announced Thursday on Twitter.
Hofmann will be part of a new-look Wildcats team which will be led by new head coach Shane Richardson.
The NCAA DII school in Marquette Michigan features alumni including NFL Network analyst Steve Mariucci and New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh.Â
After a spectacular season that helped propel the Kaukauna Ghosts’ football team to a WIAA state semifinal game, Hofmann was named second team all-state by the Associated Press.
Hofmann also is the Fox Valley Association’s Player of the Year for 2022.
“To my parents, thank you both for the countless sacrifices you both have made to get me into the position I am in today,” Hofmann wrote on Twitter.
“Thank you to my brothers, who have helped me become the person and player I am today. Thank you Coach Binsfeld, Coach Sewall, and all of my coaches who have helped me along the way.
