COMBINED LOCKS — Two people were arrested a week ago on drug charges after a seven hour standoff in Combined Locks.

The incident began Friday, Feb. 10, 2023, when the Outagamie County Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant in the 500 Block of Richard Street in the Village of Combined Locks as a result of an ongoing investigation involving the distribution of illegal substances and harboring a felon.

Ultimately, after approximately seven hours of efforts made by law enforcement on scene requesting occupants to cooperate, an adult female and an adult male were taken into custody within the residence, according to a news release.

Authorities did not identify the pair in its news release.

The woman is confined at the Outagamie County Jail for Harboring/Aiding a Felon, Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place, Encouraging a Probation Violation, Possession of Narcotic Drugs, Resisting/Obstructing an Officer, Possession of THC, and Felony Bail Jumping.

The man is confined for Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place, Resisting/Obstructing an Officer, Felony Bail Jumping, and five additional warrants.

During the incident, the Emergency Response Team made all efforts to ensure the safety of the community, nearby schools, occupants within the residence, and law enforcement personnel on scene.
