Authorities say they discovered her body Monday about a quarter mile from where her vehicle had gone off the road into a ditch.

Velazquez’s older sister, Michelle Uribe, started the fundraiser to help their mother cover the cost of her funeral expenses.

“She had a passion for drawing and artwork,” Uribe wrote about her sister. “Always being creative in everything she did. She loved animals.”

The funeral service will be located at St. Clare Parish, 437 Main St, Wrightstown, but the date has not yet been determined.

As of Tuesday, the fund had exceeded its $5,000 goal by $3,300.
