KAUKAUNA — The high school football season rolls on for Kaukauna and three of its neighbors.
For the second week in a row in Division 2, the 6-seed Ghosts upset their opponent, this time traveling to Slinger to defeat the 2-seed Owls 45-24 Friday night.
The win sets up a showdown next Friday with a quarterfinal game against 5-seed Homestead, which upset top-seed Hartford 10-7.
In a highly anticipated rematch of Fox Valley Association rivals, Kimberly traveled to Neenah Friday to squeak out a 29-28 win over the Rockets.
The Papermakers travel to 1-seed Waunakee next Friday night.
Also in Division 1, Appleton North the 6-seed, advanced with a 17-0 shutout over 2-seed Hudson. They’ll play top-seed Bay Port on Friday.
In Division 4, top seeded Little Chute trailed 3-0 at the half, but rallied with a touchdown in the second to advance to quarterfinal play with a 7-3 win over 5-seed Xavior.
They’ll host 2-seed Freedom who shut out Berlin 35-0.
