APPLETON — The Appleton Police Department says they are aware of a video circulating online alleging to ICE agents are operating in Appleton.
This has been determined to be false, police said Wednesday.
Early yesterday, a video was circulated online of police in a neighborhood in tactical uniforms.
These were not ICE agents, but rather a local multijurisdictional drug task force operating in Appleton with support from Appleton officers.
If the identity of an officer in Appleton is ever in question, people are welcome to contact the Appleton Police Department.
