KAUKAUNA — Lonny Ziemer, a driver-operator/paramedic with the the Kaukauna Fire Department, will retire Monday after a 28-year career.
Ziemer started with the Kaukauna Fire Department in 1997 and has worked on various shifts throughout his career, climbing from the rank of firefighter to driver.
With retirement, he is looking forward to spending time with his family, hunting, sturgeon spearing and relaxing up north.
According to a social media post from Kaukauna Professional Firefighters 1594, the union, along with the City of Kaukauna Fire Department, congratulates Ziemer on his 28 with the department.
